Julie is a solicitor in the family law team.
Julie was admitted as a solicitor in 2012 having previously obtained a Batchelor of Laws First Class Honours Degree with the Open University.
Having trained with a high street practice with offices in Kent and Sussex, Julie chose to specialise in family law where a general portfolio was built covering all aspects of divorce, finances, the cohabiting family, domestic abuse and issues surrounding children.
Julie builds a supportive relationship with her clients, seeking pragmatic and amicable solutions where possible.
Julie is experienced in putting into place sensible and workable arrangements for children following the breakdown of a family unit, often by agreement. Where this is not possible, Julie has been successful in obtaining favourable orders from the court for her clients, focusing on what is in the children’s best interests, including urgent applications to protect and safeguard children.
Julie also represents clients in instances where there has been domestic abuse necessitating applications to the court for protective orders such as Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders.
In her financial work, Julie is familiar with balancing the needs of each party where it can be difficult to rebuild two homes from limited resources and the differences faced by clients in a cohabiting relationship compared to those that are married.
